Finally got around to posting photos of the card I made for a friend and his wife who are expecting a baby soon. I was inspired by
this post of
Cathe Holden's to try a bit of creativity in the form of a pendant banner made of paper triangles and baker's twine. I also used a Martha Stewart bird punch, which I love, and a recently-acquired and already well-used Martha Stewart lace-edge punch.





I really like the effect of the paper pendant banner, especially with the sweet little birds holding up the string; I think I'll use this again. And the 'stitch lines' are actually just drawn on (sneaky).
